Speed kills more than time.
Every July, Operation Safe Driver Week tells us the same story.
Different year, same habits — and it’s costing lives, livelihoods, and trust on the road.
Speeding topped the list again in 2025.
Over 1,500 citations issued to commercial drivers — the pros we depend on. Drivers who carry commerce, communities, and the economy on their backs. Yet even experience can’t outrun distraction or impatience.
Seatbelts. Handheld devices. Reckless decisions.
The same violations, the same excuses.
This year: 3,230 warnings and 1,839 tickets for commercial operators.
Across 8,739 vehicles, too many chose convenience over compliance.
But here’s the truth:
You can’t ticket your way to safety.
You have to train, track, and transform it.
Technology, education, and leadership must align.
Every unsafe act is a symptom of something deeper.
Fatigue. Pressure. Culture.
If we don’t fix the environment, we’ll keep policing the outcome.
When will speed stop being our default?
What if safety was measured in trust, not tickets?
And who will lead when compliance isn’t enough?
Drive safely. Lead smarter. Build culture, not campaigns.
